Our Beachside Fresh Start
Get Naked started, like a lot of good things, a bit by accident. Five years ago, during a COVID lockdown, I was a marketing manager stuck in the corporate world. All I really wanted was to get creative. Turns out, my passions for natural skincare, art, branding, and especially our amazing coastline and protecting the environment, were just waiting for a chance to grow.
It all began as a hobby. I made cold process soap and soon found myself with a little stall at our local beach markets in Trigg, Western Australia. It was a blast, and people really loved the soap – it was a huge hit!
Fast forward a couple of years, and things got pretty tough. A long relationship ended, I found myself increasingly uninspired by my corporate role, and then I faced breast cancer operations, all within a few months. It took a while to see clearly, but slowly, I realized what truly made me happy: creating ocean-inspired skincare. Deciding to do this full-time late last year was simply the best decision I've ever made. Every day since has been pure joy.
It's a real family effort now. My daughter Charli helps out with fresh ideas, and friends and family lend a hand too. We're building this slowly, with a lot of love, as we design and launch new products. Our solid clay face masks and pebble cleansing bars, shaped like smooth coastal pebbles, aren't just about glowing skin; they're about giving you a moment to slow down and relax.
We're always excited to create more, and we love sharing our inspiration, whether it's from a coastal walk or showing you the incredible natural ingredients we get to work with. I've even started pottery lessons recently, hoping to make some wave-inspired soap dishes for our pebbles – so keep an eye out for those!
Ultimately, we want to give you a different choice for your body care. One that cuts out harmful plastics and unnecessary chemicals, and leaves a smaller footprint on our planet. Because our products don't use water, we don't need preservatives, sulfates, or emulsifiers. We believe nature has everything we need, and we embrace that completely.
